Data engineering · Forecasting · Decision systems

Your data already knows.
We make it speak.

Quantelaris is a data engineering and machine intelligence studio. We turn scattered operational data into pipelines, forecasts and dashboards that people actually trust when the decision matters.

Capabilities

Four disciplines, one team. Pick the entry point that matches where your data hurts today — most engagements end up touching all four.

Warehouses and pipelines that don't wake anyone at 3 a.m.

We design and build the plumbing: ingestion from your operational systems, a modelled warehouse, tested transformations and monitoring that catches breakage before your CFO does.

  • Warehouse design and dimensional modelling
  • Batch and streaming ingestion (APIs, files, event streams)
  • Transformation layers with tests and lineage
  • Data quality monitoring and alerting

Models that forecast demand, risk and churn — with honest error bars.

Classical statistics where it wins, machine learning where it earns its complexity. Every model ships with backtests, confidence intervals and a plain-English memo on when not to trust it.

  • Demand and revenue forecasting
  • Churn, propensity and risk scoring
  • Anomaly detection on operational metrics
  • MLOps: versioning, retraining, drift monitoring
how we validate

Rolling-origin backtests against your real history, benchmarked against the naive baseline. If our model can't beat "same as last month", we tell you — and charge you for the memo, not the model.

Dashboards designed for the meeting, not the screenshot.

A dashboard is a decision instrument. We start from the questions your team argues about weekly, then build views where the answer — and its uncertainty — is legible in seconds.

  • KPI definition workshops (one metric, one owner, one formula)
  • Executive and operational reporting layers
  • Embedded analytics in your own product
  • Self-serve semantic layers for analysts
design rule

Every chart must answer a named question from a named person. Charts without an owner get deleted at handover. Teams typically ship fewer, better views than they started with.

A senior data brain on call, without the senior data payroll.

For companies between "spreadsheets" and "data team": we act as your fractional data function — architecture reviews, tooling selection, hiring support and a roadmap you can execute without us.

  • Data strategy and platform roadmaps
  • Vendor and tooling evaluation
  • Data governance and documentation basics
  • Interview support for your first data hires
exit criteria

Advisory engagements end with a written state-of-play, a prioritised backlog and — where relevant — the job specs for the people who replace us. We measure success by our own redundancy.

Forecast playground

A toy version of what we do all day. Adjust the signal and watch the forecast band respond — the same trade-offs (trend vs. noise vs. seasonality) drive every real model we ship.

Notice how noise widens the forecast band faster than trend moves its centre — that's the honest part most dashboards hide.

How engagements work

Questions we get on almost every first call.

Discovery and advisory work is fixed-price. Build work is scoped into fixed-price milestones after discovery, so you always know the cost of the next concrete deliverable. Ongoing support runs as a simple monthly retainer.
You do. Everything we build — pipelines, models, dashboards, documentation — is delivered into your repositories and your cloud accounts. Our standard terms assign IP in deliverables to the client on payment.
That's the preferred mode. We pair with your engineers and analysts throughout, and every engagement ends with a handover session. The goal is that your team runs the system confidently without us.
We work under a data processing agreement whenever we touch personal data, prefer working inside your infrastructure rather than moving data out, and are happy to complete your vendor due-diligence questionnaires. Details in our Privacy Policy.

Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective 3 July 2026

This policy describes how Quantelaris Ltd (company number 17008714), registered in England and Wales with its registered office at 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Suffolk, IP28 7DE, United Kingdom ("Quantelaris", "we", "us"), processes personal data as a controller in connection with this website and our business communications. We process personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 and, where applicable to individuals in the European Economic Area, the EU GDPR.

1. Data we process

We keep data collection to the minimum a professional services website needs:

This website has no user accounts, no contact forms and no third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

2. Purposes and lawful bases

3. Client data in engagements

Where we access personal data contained in a client's systems or datasets in the course of delivering services, we generally act as a processor on the client's documented instructions, under a written data processing agreement compliant with Art. 28 UK GDPR. This policy covers our activities as a controller; processing performed on behalf of clients is governed by the relevant agreement.

4. Retention

5. Recipients

We share personal data only with service providers who support our operations — website hosting, e-mail, document storage and accounting — each acting under contract and on our instructions. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for third-party marketing.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the UK. Where that happens, transfers are protected by UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or EU Standard Contractual Clauses, as applicable.

7. Your rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection under the UK GDPR (and EU GDPR where applicable). To exercise them, contact [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or, if you are in the EEA, to your local supervisory authority.

8. Security

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege access to client environments and multi-factor authentication on our core systems.

Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · Effective 3 July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") set out the general conditions on which Quantelaris Ltd (company number 17008714, registered office: 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Suffolk, IP28 7DE, United Kingdom) ("Quantelaris") provides data engineering, analytics, machine learning and related consulting services (the "Services") to business clients, and the conditions of use of this website.

1. Scope and hierarchy

  1. The Services are provided to businesses only (B2B). We do not offer the Services to consumers.
  2. Specific engagements are governed by a written statement of work, proposal or services agreement signed or accepted by both parties (an "SOW"). In case of conflict, the SOW prevails over these Terms.
  3. Content on this website is a general description of our capabilities and does not constitute an offer. An engagement arises only upon acceptance of an SOW.

2. Services and delivery

  1. We perform the Services with reasonable skill and care, consistent with good industry practice.
  2. Timelines in an SOW are estimates unless expressly stated as binding. Delivery depends on the client providing timely access to data, systems and personnel described in the SOW.
  3. Deliverables are deemed accepted if the client does not raise substantiated objections within 10 business days of delivery, or upon first productive use, whichever is earlier.

3. Client obligations

  1. The client warrants that it is entitled to grant us access to the data and systems made available for the engagement, and that such access does not violate applicable law or third-party rights.
  2. The client remains responsible for business decisions made using deliverables, including decisions informed by analytical models and forecasts.

4. Fees and payment

  1. Fees are set out in the SOW. Unless stated otherwise, fees are exclusive of VAT and invoices are payable within 14 days.
  2. We may suspend work on overdue accounts after notice. Statutory interest on late commercial payments applies.

5. Intellectual property

  1. Upon full payment, intellectual property rights in deliverables created specifically for the client under an SOW are assigned to the client, unless the SOW provides otherwise.
  2. We retain ownership of our pre-existing materials, tools, know-how and generic methodologies. To the extent embedded in deliverables, the client receives a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use them as part of the deliverables.
  3. Open-source components remain subject to their respective licences, identified in the engagement documentation.

6. Confidentiality and data protection

  1. Each party will keep the other's confidential information secret and use it only for the engagement. This obligation survives termination for 5 years.
  2. Where we process personal data on the client's behalf, the parties will enter into a data processing agreement. Our processing as a controller is described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Analytical outputs — important notice

Forecasts, models, scores and other analytical outputs are probabilistic by nature. They reflect historical data and stated assumptions and are not guarantees of future outcomes. Unless expressly agreed in an SOW, the Services do not constitute financial, investment, legal or regulatory advice.

8. Liability

  1. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
  2. Subject to the above, each party's total aggregate liability arising out of an engagement is limited to the fees paid or payable under the relevant SOW in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
  3. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, anticipated savings or data (except a party's obligation to pay fees, and breaches of confidentiality or IP provisions).

9. Term and termination

  1. Either party may terminate an SOW for material breach not remedied within 14 days of written notice, or immediately upon the other party's insolvency.
  2. On termination, the client pays for work performed up to the effective date, and each party returns or deletes the other's confidential information, subject to statutory retention duties.

10. Website use

The content of this website is provided for general information and is protected by copyright of Quantelaris or its licensors. You may not scrape, reproduce or reuse it for commercial purposes without our written consent. The website is provided "as is" without warranties as to availability or accuracy.

11. General

  1. These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  2. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, save that we may seek injunctive relief in any competent court.
  3. If a provision is held invalid, the remainder stays in force. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver.
  4. Notices must be sent in writing to the registered office or to [email protected].

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies (such as local storage) store small pieces of information in your browser. We use the term "cookies" for all of these.

2. Cookies we use
